Sculptra Aftercare
Essential guidance to support collagen stimulation and long-term results.
What to Expect After Your Treatment
Immediately After
Swelling, redness, tenderness, and bruising at injection sites are common. The treated areas may feel
firm or uneven initially — this is normal and temporary.
First Few Days
Swelling will gradually reduce. Bruising may darken before fading. The initial volume you see will reduce
as the product absorbs.
Weeks to Months
Sculptra works gradually by stimulating your own collagen. Results develop slowly over several weeks to months and improve with each session.
The 5–5–5 Massage Rule (Very Important)
• Massage the treated areas for 5 minutes at a time
• Repeat this 5 times per day
• Continue for 5 consecutive days
• Use clean hands and gentle but firm pressure
• This helps distribute the product evenly and reduces the risk of nodules
Aftercare Do’s
• Complete the 5–5–5 massage rule exactly as instructed.
• Stay well hydrated to support collagen production.
• Sleep slightly elevated for the first 1–2 nights if swollen.
• Apply a cold compress for short periods if needed.
• Attend all recommended treatment and review appointments.
Aftercare Don’ts (First 48 Hours)
• Avoid strenuous exercise.
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
