1. Regulatory & Professional Standards
RUTE operates in accordance with:

•Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidance
All treatments are delivered in line with current evidence-based clinical practice, professional standards, and ethical prescribing principles.

2. Clinical Governance
RUTE maintains a structured clinical governance framework which includes:
•Risk assessment and incident reporting systems
•Infection prevention and control procedures
•Safeguarding policies
•Consent protocols
•Ongoing clinical audit and review
•Continuous professional development (CPD)
•Professional indemnity insurance
Patient safety is our primary consideration at all times.

3. Consultations & Clinical Assessment
All treatments are subject to:
•Comprehensive consultation
•Medical history review
•Clinical risk assessment
•Discussion of alternatives
•Discussion of material risks and realistic outcomes
Treatment will only proceed where:
•It is clinically appropriate
•It is in the patient’s best interests
•Valid informed consent has been obtained
RUTE reserves the right to decline treatment on clinical, ethical, or safety grounds.
A consultation does not guarantee treatment.

4. Informed Consent
Informed consent is obtained prior to treatment and includes:
•Explanation of procedure
•Expected outcomes
•Material risks and side effects
•Aftercare instructions
•Financial cost
Consent may be withdrawn at any time prior to treatment.

5. Prescribing & Prescription-Only Medicines
Where treatments involve prescription-only medicines (POMs):
•A separate prescribing consultation is undertaken where required
•Prescribing decisions are made independently and based solely on clinical judgement
•Advertising of specific prescription-only medicines is not undertaken
Prescriptions will only be issued where clinically indicated and appropriate.

6. Booking, Deposits & Payments
•A deposit is required to secure appointments
•Deposits are deducted from the final treatment cost
•48 hours’ notice is required for cancellation or rescheduling
•Deposits are non-refundable for late cancellation or non-attendance
•Full payment is due on the day of treatment
Pricing is transparent and published clearly. Confirmed bookings will not be subject to retrospective price increases.

7. Refunds
Due to the medical nature of aesthetic treatments:
•Refunds are not offered for completed treatments
•Dissatisfaction with aesthetic outcome does not constitute grounds for refund
•Clinical review appointments are provided where appropriate
This does not affect your statutory rights.

8. Safety, Risks & Outcomes
All medical aesthetic treatments carry inherent risks.
Patients acknowledge:
•Results vary between individuals
•Longevity cannot be guaranteed
•Complications, although uncommon, can occur
•Additional treatments may be required
RUTE maintains clear complication management pathways and emergency protocols.

9. Aftercare & Complication Management
Patients must:
•Follow all aftercare advice
•Contact RUTE promptly if adverse reactions occur
RUTE provides:
•Post-treatment advice
•Clinical review where necessary
•Clear escalation procedures
Failure to follow aftercare advice may affect outcomes.

10. Safeguarding & Ethical Practice
RUTE operates a safeguarding policy in line with UK safeguarding legislation.
Treatment will not be provided where:
•There are concerns regarding vulnerability
•There is evidence of coercion
•Expectations are unrealistic
•Body dysmorphic concerns are suspected
Where appropriate, referrals may be signposted to alternative services.

Clinical records are maintained securely and confidentially in accordance with:

•Professional regulatory guidance
Patients may request access to their records in line with data protection law.

12. Complaints Procedure
RUTE operates a formal complaints procedure.

•Acknowledge within 3 working days
•Investigate impartially
•Provide a written outcome within 20 working days where possible
If you remain dissatisfied, you may escalate to the appropriate regulatory body where applicable.

13. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
•Death or personal injury caused by negligence
•Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
•Any liability which cannot be excluded under UK law
All treatments are covered by professional indemnity insurance.
